Fading Crowns
Uncover the mystery of a kidnapped king in a roguelite fantasy–steampunk brawler built for up to four players, where no two runs are the same. Battle through procedurally generated levels packed with memorable NPCs, secrets, puzzles, and boss fights, then regroup in a living hub shaped by a day-night cycle and your choices.
Q & A
Fading Crowns is a classic roguelite action game where you join a lobby, start runs and try to get as far as possible. On the way you encounter fierce enemies, unique NPCs & more and progress via level-ups, shop items and special buffs. When you die, you keep all the crystals and relics you collected in your run to unlock new weapons, characters, story missions and more.
Every character you unlock has a unique playstyle and spell and combined with random level generation and an interactive day-night-cycle no run will be like the one before.
In the long run, yes. But for now I am focussing on a release for Steam with consoles following later.
Fading Crowns is designed as a local couch co-op game with up to 4 players in mind – so multiplayer is supported but only locally. You are free to explore the game alone or with up to 3 of your best (or worst) friends.
The whole game is actually designed for controller support first. Mouse and keyboard will be supported as well but you'll get the best experience with a controller.
The development is currently in a deep Alpha/Prototyping phase where many systems are still being iterated or built from the ground up. I am expecting a playable demo at the end of 2026 with a release window somehwere in 2027.
